From our family to yours, our sincerest sympathies for your tragic loss. I too am a San G. grad and had Kenny in many classes. He was always warm and friendly in school and I can see he carried his compassion throughout his life. May the Lord be with you in your time of need.

My heart sunk when I saw the news on KSL.com. I grew up with Ken in San Bernardino. We were in the same ward and loved to tease each other constantly. Ken was a great guy. Although I have not seen him for years, I have read about what a wonderful person he continued to be and how much he served those around him and in the community. I was not a bit surprised. What a great legacy he left behind with his BEAUTIFUL family. Words cannot express how sorry I am. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My name is Kim (Andreola) Kelzer and I graduated from San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino California. Kenny was a friend of mine in school and one of the people I was most hoping to see at the upcoming reunion. I just found out about his passing and wanted to express my deepest sympathy. You have a beautiful family and Kenny looked just as I remember him.

The reunion is next weekend and I have spoken to Holly (Tudor) Lopez, who is in charge. We would like to do something for you family at the reunion. I have seen that there is a fund set up for your family at the University of Utah Credit Union and we would like to have a place available for those in our graduating class to give if they feel led. We only want to do this if it is okay with you. If it is, I would like to have a small display with a few photos of your family. Please contact me at pkkskelzer@yahoo.com at your earliest convenience to let me know if this is all okay.

Again, I am very sorry for your loss. Kenny was a great guy in high school and from what I have read and seen (stories online from the accident) he was a terrific husband and father.

Blessings,
Kim Kelzer

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dawn, the kids, Uncle John and Aunt Robin, and Tracy. We were so sad to hear the news. I will always remember the times Ken, John, Kurt and I spent together growing up, and the special times my Cuz (Kenny) and I spent together. I also want Uncle John and Aunt Robin to know I miss them and appreciate all the time they spent on me--you two along with Kenny had a great impact on my life.

We will always remember the good times we had with Ken. In 2005 father and sons, Ken made enough spaghetti to feed an army. It was yummy, we sat around the camp fire eating it and visiting.
Michael receiving his Eagle Scout, Ken told me about the recognition pin that Michael got to give to anyone of his choosing. I think the pin was to be given to the person who had influenced him the most in getting his Eagle. I don’t think I’ve seen a Father more proud then when Michael gave the pin to Ken.
The 2007 camping trip up Provo Canyon, I’m sure we made some kind of record packing up the camp sites after the Sherriff gave us an evacuation order. The order was to evacuate immediately and leave everything nether; Ken or I was going to leave our stuff to be burnt so both our family's packed like mad. I noticed some how the stray kitten ended up in our van and not the Duckworth’s. ha, ha… Long live Camper the cat… Then came the hot sleepless night, tenting it, in the Duckworth’ back yard. I think the neighbor's thought were crazy???
We will miss Ken, but we look forward with hope in Jesus Christ and know we will see him again. Dawn and kids, we are hear for you guys, we love you all and look forward to many more wonderful memories with your family.

My wife and I both have fond memories of the times we spent with Kenny. He is truly a great man who will be sorely missed. I'm thankful and proud to be his friend.

To Dawn and family (and Robin, John, and Tracy too), you are in our thoughts and prayers.

In our short experience with this ward and area, Ken was someone that you could always count on to be there helping, supporting and teaching. He will be greatly missed. We are thinking of your family and praying for you.
